Search for anything, or click a starter to drop it on the map.
Pieces that touch get lane markings automatically.
Search or pick anything — a whole street, a single lane, a park, a fountain — then click the map to place it. It snaps to nearby edges. Star ☆ the ones you use most: they stay at the top and beside the + button.
Use > for left → right, or < for right → left. Add measurements and check the preview.
Use > for left → right or < for right → left: library > train > sidewalk > light rail. Commas or “and” also list features; “with” adds details. “Left of”, “right of” and “between” also work. Add widths and check the preview.
Traffic: lane counts, one-way or two-way, northbound or southbound, turn pockets, bus lanes, tram tracks and bike paths.
Most accurate layout: list each feature in its exact order with > (left → right) or < (right → left). Example: library > train > 8 ft sidewalk > light rail. Use one direction throughout the chain. Keep a compound area in one step, such as “two lane road with a center turn lane” or “outdoor dining with a sidewalk”. Check the ordered preview and any notes before placing.
Other layouts: on the left, on the right, on both sides, named positions, or a list from left to right. Add explicit widths and lengths in feet, inches or metres for more predictable dimensions.
Places: houses, apartments, shops, restaurants, schools, offices, hospitals, parking lots, plazas, playgrounds and waterfronts.
Details: protected bike lanes, angled parking, rain gardens, trees, benches, lights, fountains, solar roofs and crossing styles. Use “no” or “without” to leave things out.
Activity and scenery: try “road with cars”, “bike path with cyclists”, “river with boats and kayaks”, or “beach with beach umbrellas and birds”. Select a surface to change its activity, use Add for scenery, or use Add item for individual items. Use Regenerate item positions to try a fresh arrangement.
The built-in reader works offline for most descriptions. With your own key, Ask Claude helps interpret more detailed wording. The key stays in this browser, and requests go straight from here to Anthropic. API usage is billed by Anthropic.
Adds the example to the grid.
It would overlap what’s already on the grid around the origin (0, 0). Your design stays unless you choose to replace it.
Or cancel, drag your design away from (0, 0), and load the example again.
Build, resize, curve and fill a practice street. Each step waits for you to do it.
About 3 minutes. Your current project stays safe in a separate workspace.
Start from an existing piece, give it a name and dimensions, then edit its shape on the grid. Saved templates can be placed again.
